The Last Daughter

Feature Documentary – In Development

Brenda, a timid Aboriginal woman, has memories of being raised by a loving white family, before being removed by welfare and placed with the biological family she didn’t know. Now, she feels voiceless and disconnected from both halves of her life, until a moment of honesty sets her on the journey to uncover the truth of her past, and reconcile the two sides of her family.

The Last Daughter is a documentary film about Brenda’s mission to unearth the secrets buried in her past, and find a deeper connection to her family, her culture, and her story: a story that she must find the courage to share with the world.
